Poor Visibility Affects Air Passengers

Today, 26 of December, 2016 there is a report reaching WhatNow Nigeria that, airlines are in trouble. Passengers of Air Peace airlines who left Lagos by 7:30a.m bound for Enugu state have been returned to Lagos due to poor visibility of the pilots.
It is reported that, the pilots cannot land because, they cannot see the runways. An aircraft that took off from Lagos heading for Owerri by 7:00 kept hovering because of the poor visibility. The effect of this is a delay in the passengers schedules and, a wasteage of Aviation fuel which has been scarce of recent which led to a hike in the price of plane tickets.
One can only wonder if the airlines did not go through the weather forecasts before making the trip which could have saved the aviation fuel and the passengers time.
